Zenith Bank Plc will mark the 2026 International Women’s Day with its annual seminar in Lagos, reaffirming its commitment to advancing women’s leadership and inclusive growth.
The event is scheduled for Monday, March 9, 2026, at The Civic Centre, Victoria Island, and is expected to attract accomplished women and thought leaders from business, governance, technology, the creative sector and social impact organisations.
This year’s seminar aligns with the global theme, “Give to Gain,” while adopting the local theme, “Take It, You Own It.” According to the bank, the message reflects a shared responsibility: institutions must create enabling structures and equitable opportunities, while women are encouraged to step forward confidently, claim space and take ownership of their growth.
The 2026 edition builds on previous seminars, including the 2025 programme themed “Winning On All Fronts.” Over time, Zenith Bank’s International Women’s Day initiatives have evolved into platforms for engagement, mentorship and knowledge-sharing around gender equity and professional advancement.
The Group Managing Director of the bank, Adaora Umeoji, who will deliver the welcome address, described International Women’s Day as a reminder that meaningful progress requires deliberate action from both institutions and individuals.
She noted that the bank remains intentional about creating environments where women are empowered to grow, excel and influence outcomes within the organisation and across the wider society.
Organisers disclosed that the seminar will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, interactive sessions and creative segments designed to stimulate conversations on leadership, wellbeing, collaboration and sustainable impact.
Beyond celebration, the forum is positioned as a catalyst for action, aimed at inspiring women to harness opportunities while encouraging organisations to strengthen inclusive policies and systems.
