President Bola Tinubu on Sunday received a stream of high-profile visitors at his Bourdillon residence in Ikoyi, Lagos, as part of Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
Among the visitors was the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, who commended Tinubu’s efforts to reposition Nigeria globally. Speaking after a closed-door meeting, the monarch praised the President’s economic reforms and expressed strong support for the proposed restructuring of the Forest Guard system as a security strategy.
“I am here to greet the President for the Sallah break and also to appreciate all the great things he’s doing for our dear country,” the Ooni told journalists, adding that Nigeria’s international profile is improving under Tinubu’s leadership.
He described Tinubu as “a bold President committed to a better Nigeria” and urged citizens to embrace a positive outlook.
Also at the residence were former Delta State governor James Ibori; Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu; industrialist Razak Okoya, his wife Shade, and their son, who came to felicitate with the President.
In his Sallah message to the nation, Tinubu called for prayers for continued peace, stability, and national unity.
