Some Nigerians have been safely escorted out of Iran by officials from the Nigerian Embassy, the Federal Government confirmed on Wednesday.

The Chairman and CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, stated that embassy staff assisted citizens seeking safety, guiding them across the Armenian border.

Dabiri-Erewa assured that no Nigerian has been affected by the ongoing conflict and that government personnel remain at the border to assist anyone wishing to leave.

“Our priority is the welfare and protection of Nigerians abroad,” she said, emphasizing the government’s commitment to its citizens in volatile regions.
