Julius Berger Nigeria Plc is set to use its participation in the 2026 edition of Big 5 Construct Nigeria to pursue fresh business opportunities, expand strategic alliances and promote its capabilities in engineering and construction.

The exhibition, scheduled for September 22 to 24 at the Landmark Centre, Lagos, is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors, 170 exhibitors and participants from over 20 countries.

The event brings together stakeholders across the construction, infrastructure and built-environment sectors, providing a platform for companies to engage potential clients, investors, government institutions, technology providers and other industry decision-makers.

With Nigeria’s construction market estimated at about $108 billion, the organisers see the exhibition as an important gateway for companies seeking to expand their presence and identify opportunities within the country’s infrastructure and real estate sectors.

Julius Berger plans to use the platform to showcase its track record in delivering major infrastructure projects, as well as its capabilities in industrial construction, building technologies, innovative engineering solutions and sustainable construction practices.

The company is also expected to engage developers, consultants, manufacturers, investors and public-sector stakeholders in discussions aimed at developing new partnerships and improving project delivery.

Filipe Lopes, a senior official in Julius Berger’s Strategic Business Development Unit, said the company regarded the exhibition as an important platform for collaboration and innovation.

According to Lopes, the event would enable Julius Berger to demonstrate its capabilities while engaging industry stakeholders on solutions capable of creating greater value for clients.

“Big 5 Construct Nigeria provides an important platform for Julius Berger to engage with industry stakeholders, showcase our capabilities and explore innovative solutions that can deliver greater value to clients,” he said.

He added that the company viewed the exhibition as an opportunity to strengthen strategic partnerships and contribute to conversations about the future direction of Nigeria’s construction industry.

Julius Berger’s participation comes as the company continues to position itself for growth across several segments of the Nigerian economy. These include transport infrastructure, commercial buildings, residential developments, industrial facilities and energy-related projects.

Beyond attracting potential new clients, the exhibition is expected to provide the construction giant with an opportunity to consolidate relationships with existing customers and explore collaborations involving emerging technologies and new construction solutions.

The organisers said Big 5 Construct Nigeria had evolved into a major business platform for the construction industry, connecting exhibitors with decision-makers, buyers and industry leaders.

A key component of this year’s event will be the Big 5 Talks, which will feature CPD-certified sessions by industry experts.

The sessions will focus on issues including architecture and design, project management, construction technology, sustainable building materials, cost management and emerging developments in the built environment.

For Julius Berger, the exhibition offers more than an opportunity to display its project portfolio. It provides a platform to monitor technological developments, establish new commercial relationships and identify solutions that could improve efficiency and sustainability in construction.

The company’s participation therefore underscores its strategy of combining engineering expertise with innovation and partnerships as Nigeria intensifies efforts to close its infrastructure gap and stimulate investment in the construction sector.
