Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced another reduction in the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), lowering the cost of the two products by N50 and N80 per litre respectively.
The company said the new pricing regime takes effect with the ex-depot price of petrol dropping from N1,215 per litre to N1,165 per litre, while diesel will now sell at N1,570 per litre, down from N1,650 per litre.
In a statement, the refinery said the latest adjustment reflects its commitment to making refined petroleum products more affordable for Nigerians while ensuring consistent supply to the domestic market.
It explained that the reduction is driven by improved operational efficiencies, which it said would continue to be passed on to consumers whenever market conditions allow.
According to the company, the price cut is expected to enhance access to petroleum products, ease energy costs for businesses and households, and support economic activities across the country.
Dangote Refinery said it remains focused on delivering high-quality fuels to the Nigerian market while strengthening the country's energy security through increased local refining capacity.
The company noted that its operations continue to reduce Nigeria's dependence on imported petroleum products, describing the refinery as a strategic national asset contributing to industrial growth and economic development.
Dangote Refinery reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Nigerian economy by maintaining a stable supply of petroleum products and delivering value to consumers through efficient operations.
