Nollywood actress Annie Idibia (Macaulay) has dismissed reports suggesting that she has reunited with her former husband, music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba.
The actress addressed the speculation on Monday through a post on her Instagram Stories, stating that the videos circulating online and fuelling the rumours were old and being presented as recent events.
"Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere," she wrote.
Speculation about a possible reconciliation gathered momentum after an old video of the former couple sharing a warm moment at a nightclub resurfaced on social media on Friday.
The clip quickly went viral, with many social media users interpreting it as evidence that the estranged couple had rekindled their relationship.
However, Annie's clarification has debunked the claims, making it clear that the footage was recorded in the past and does not reflect their current relationship.
Annie and 2Baba, who have two daughters together, announced the end of their marriage in January 2025, bringing to a close a relationship that had lasted for more than a decade.
Since the separation, 2Baba has remarried. The award-winning singer is now married to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
